Who We Are

Makerere University joined the Africa in the Moot initiative in 2021 and will be participating in the VIS Moot for their 1st time. They are extremely dedicated to doing their country proud and as such, organized and planned their own Kampala based Pre-Moot with the support of the AitM Organization.

Karabo Fortunate

Kirabo Fortunate is in his final year at Makerere University. He has participated in a number of moots and in particular, was part of the team that won the Clinical Legal Education Moot 2022. He is interested in the subject of dispute resolution and specifically, arbitration and international commercial arbitration. He loves poetry.

 

Edisa Longo

Edisa Longo is in her 2nd year of study at Makerere University. She has in the past taken part in and won a round of the UWA Moot League centred around wildlife crime and environmental conservation. She is interested in the fast growing sphere of Commercial and state to state arbitration in East Africa and internationally. Outside the law, she is a recreational fashion design sketcher and avid reader.

 

Annie Maria Adikin

Annie Maria Adikin is currently in her 3rd year studying law at Makerere University. In addition to being an ardent mooter, Annie is passionate about community service and children's rights. She has a strong conviction that her participation in the Vis Moot will go a long way in propelling her in her legal aspirations.

 

Semusatsi Madan

Madan Semusatsi is a 4th year student of law at Makerere University. He is a jack of all trades, exhibiting great research and analytical skills that he employs in the Makerere Business Law Clinic and curiosity that sees him venture into new areas such as Blockchain technology. He believes, the Willem C Vis Moot is a major mile stone in shaping his understanding of the commercial law practice.

Tukwatanise Hans Rwantangare

Tukwatanise Hans Rwantangare is a 4th year law student at Makerere University. He is a published author with the makerere law journal where he has also served as an editor. He is particularly enthusiastic about emerging trends and has a kin interest in arbitration.
